Sometimes a costume party invitation seems like more trouble than it’s worth. Putting together an elaborate costume can make you the hit of the party, but it’s also a heck of a lot of work. Just getting the various pieces and accessories for a really good get up can feel like a full time job.
But when the other choice is slapping together a half hearted costume at the last minute, there doesn’t seem to be much of an alternative. Fortunately, there are some costume ideas that are timely, inexpensive, and extremely easy to make.
If you’re comfortable wearing spandex, a Greenman suit is about as simple a costume as you could hope to find. This tight fitting get up was made famous by fans of the Vancouver Cannucks hockey team and is a sure fire hit at any party.
A Glee cheerleader costume is another fairly simple ensemble that won’t require a lot of effort. Either order the sweater from a costume shop, or just pin some letters to a sweater you get at a thrift store.
Anyone with a yellow t shirt and a red bandanna already has everything they need for a Hulkamania costume. Just add a little facial stubble and some big sunglasses and step into the world of Hulk Hogan.
Creativity, not money is the cornerstone of a really great costume.
