Getting Your Pilot’s License
Posted on June 9th, 2011 by supervisor
If the thought of staring down at some cockpit instrument panels and knowing exactly what to do to get that bird in the air excites you, then becoming a pilot might be the path for you. If you want to experience the freedom of flying over the clouds and letting go of all your Earthly possessions for a few hours, then becoming a pilot is probably your calling.
It’s not very difficult to become a licensed pilot if you just want to fly as a hobby. You can enroll in courses that will be able to teach you what’s on those cockpit panels in no time. But before you do this, you’ll need to make sure that you can pass the medical examinations the FAA requires you to take in order to get your license. If you are too out of shape or you have some major medical issues, then operating a plane is not going to be safe for you or your passengers. Be sure to be clean and drug free as well.
This is actually quite a lengthy process so be sure to allow plenty of time and patience to get it done. But if you really love flying, you’ll be wiping down your plane with some Acetone and taking off in no time.
